APACE Awards

We are pleased to announce that APACE is now accepting for nominations for the prestigious APACE Awards. Award recipients will receive supports from APACE to attend the upcoming ISCE-APACE 2025 Conference in Christchurch, New Zealand, from 18-22 August 2025. Below, you will find detailed descriptions and criteria for each award. We encourage you to consider nominating deserving individuals for these honours. Please submit your nominations directly to Alvin Hee at alvinhee@upm.edu.my. The nomination deadline is April 30, 2025. The selection of awardees will be completed by mid-May, with notifications sent to the winners shortly thereafter. We look forward to receiving your nominations and celebrating the achievements of those who have made significant contributions to chemical ecology field.

APACE Lifetime Achievement Award

Aims to recognise highly respected scientists who had made outstanding contribution in the field of chemical ecology and APACE. Please send us an official nomination letter outlining the outstanding achievements and significant contributions of the nominee to Chemical Ecology research and the Chemical Ecology community in the Asia-Pacific Region during their career and a short CV with a list of significant publications and supporting letters from other colleagues that addresses why the nominee should be recognised for the award. Please send CV and nomination letter to alvinhee@upm.edu.my

APACE Applied Chemical Ecology Award
Aims to recognise those who had made outstanding contributions in the application field of chemical ecology.  Please send a short CV and nomination letter outlining the outstanding achievements and significant contributions of the nominee to alvinhee@upm.edu.my

APACE Young Scientist Awards
Aims to recognize young scientist(s) performing cutting-edge research in chemical ecology, which the outcome of her/his research will have significant impacts of the future direction in the field of Chemical Ecology. The winner(s) will present a plenary seminar about his research at the coming ISCE-APACE joint conference in Christchurch (August 18-22, 2025) with the award plaque(s). To be qualified as candidate(s) of this award, you have to be an APACE current member, received your PhD degree no longer than 5 years, and nominated by an APACE current member (at least one). The recipient of this award will receive free conference registration and a cash award during the conference. Please send the application package (CV, abstract of your conference presentation, and proof of a student or young postdoc which can be a written statement from the supervisors) to alvinhee@upm.edu.my
The deadline for the application is April 30, 2025.
