Welcome to the 21st conference of the International Council for the Study of Virus and Virus-Like Diseases of the Grapevine to be held in Napier, New Zealand (23–27 March). Note: Easter is Friday to Monday, 3–6 April 2026. 

A pre-conference tour from Auckland to Napier (20–22 March 2026) includes visits to many top tourist destinations and a field trip to  Riversun Nursery, Gisborne - full information can be found here.  If you would like to venture with us prior to the conference you need to be quick as bookings for the tour close on 16th January 2026.

The scientific program includes grapevine viruses and virus-like organisms such as phytoplasmas.  A full day field trip visiting vineyards that are managing leafroll disease, a wine tasting, and a field trial of GLRaV-3 variants on four grapevine cultivars is included in the registration fee. 

The conference dinner will be held in our historic Mission Estate.
