Join us for the launch of Selecting Native Plants that Attract Beneficial Insects: A Canterbury Guide—a practical, science-based resource developed to help farmers, growers and landowners establish native plantings that support pollination, natural pest control and resilient farming systems. More than a guide launch, this event will explore how these recommendations can be successfully implemented across Canterbury's productive landscapes. Bringing together researchers, farmers, industry leaders, councils and planting specialists, the programme will showcase real-world experiences, practical considerations and opportunities for integrating native biodiversity into farming systems.

Hear from the scientists behind the research, alongside representatives from organisations including the Foundation for Arable Research (FAR), Brailsfords, Environment Canterbury (ECan), and Te Ara Kākāriki (TAK), who will share their perspectives on designing, establishing and supporting native plantings. The event will also feature panel discussions with farmers and landowners who have established native plantings, as well as an industry panel exploring the opportunities, challenges and future of implementing biodiversity initiatives at scale.
